There are two basic rules for a blog post:

- If it is written in a book on in another blog, do NOT write it.

- Publish only content on which you have some experience and that produce objective results. It is better if it is against conventional wisdom.

This is the secret behind the most successful blogs.

Generally the articles you can find on most blogs are mainstream suggestions or copy-paste from the most followed authors. Of course this content will not stand out and will hardly convert some prospects.

When prospects arrive on your blog they are exposed to your brand. If your articles are not strong enough, they leave.

Do you have a high converting blog? What type of articles do you post?

1) You have to make sure its authentic . That is rule#1 cos if its plagiarised you lose credibility in a second. It must be an original piece.

2) Speak to your audience will be the 2nd. Dont write for search engines but only to your audience.. speak to them as if you are in a coffeeshop. be a friend! it wrks!

My two rules are:

Rank

Bank

lol... If your onpage is tight and you have a great conversational tone (depending on the niche of course) you can make some serious money (niche dependent again).
